Donelle Lacy is an American fantasy illustrator and author, as well as a library art teacher and art program leader. She received her BFA in Drawing from Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio, and her MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Design in Georgia. She draws inspiration from all forms of media, including picture books, novels, movies, and classical art. During her college years, she was an avid anime fan, gamer, and fantasy geek. Her interest in the art, customs, and legends of Europe and Asia inspired her own writing and illustration.
Her coloring book Dangerous Sea: A Menacingly Nautical Graphic Coloring Book, published in 2018, contains sea creatures from various cultural myths. The style of the book reflects her appreciation for eastern manga and western comics.
Donelle works for the Adams County Public Library and is a freelance illustrator with Light Aero Publishing LLC.
